“There is not one, but several types of endometriosis”

Following the call for projects on “Science and Society” by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, the online media Curieux.live was selected to produce a series of articles aimed at presenting the France 2030 research programs to the general public.

In a “3 questions to” interview, Jean Rosenbaum, scientific coordinator of the France 2030 research program “Women’s and Couples’ Health” (PEPR SAFE), discussed:

• • The ambitions of the research program, which focuses on two themes: infertility and endometriosis.
  • The estimated number of people affected by endometriosis in France, highlighting in particular the importance of the EPI-ENDO project funded by PEPR SAFE in advancing knowledge about the epidemiology of this disease.
  • The impact of environmental factors on fertility and the importance of conducting studies on large population cohorts.
